Best Waterproof Device Covers
My girlfriend just took a weekend trip to the beach, and totally unplugged. When she came back to reality, she realized just how much she missed, and vowed to never do that again. For myself, unplugging completely just is not going to happen. I’m not going to take my laptop to the beach, but…I can’t get anywhere without GPS, I always have to check in with work in some capacity, if I’m without the kids they have to be able to call me, and if I’m poolside or on the beach I’ll need my Kindle. Since summertime means pool, lake, and beach time, take some basic precautions to protect your valuable devices from the elements. Here’s a couple of my favorites.
Taking your Kindle to the beach? Whether you have a First, Second, or Third Generation model, this cover from TrendyDigital will keep it protected. The UV-stabilized material won’t break down in sunlight, and protects against water, sand, and dirt. Comes in purple, red, and blue.
New Version TrendyDigital WaterGuard Waterproof Case for Kindle — $15.99
Need serious waterproof protection? A DryCASE is completely waterproof and will protect your device whether you have iPhone, iTouch, iPad, Kindle, or a Droid. It’s a flexible, clear bag that comes with a small hand pump that removes all of the air out of the bag, forming a vacuum seal around the device. Devices are safe – even if submerged underwater, and you can use the devices while in the waterproof case. There are even waterproof ear buds called DryBUDS.
DryCase and DryBUDS starting at $19.99.
A little prevention goes a long way to protecting your device – and it’s better than spending the rest of your beach vacation drying out your phone with rice!
Do you unplug at the beach? Or do you take it all with you?
